Crakehall

“Crakehall in the parish of Bedale, a delightful village on both sides of Bedale beck, being in two parts, called Great and Little Crakehall, 2 miles northwest of Bedale, it has in its township 580 souls and 1,752 acres of land, James Pulleine Esq is lord of the manor.” William White’s History, Gazetteer and Directory of the East and North Ridings of Yorkshire, 1840.
