Yafforth

“Yafforth in the parish of Danby Wiske, in the vale of the river Wisk, 1.5 miles west of Northallerton, is a village, township and chapelry, containing 165 souls and 1,120 acres of land.” William White’s History, Gazetteer and Directory of the East and North Ridings of Yorkshire, 1840.
